Each model of aluminum extrusion machine has its upper and lower, such as a 1100ton machine, usually we call it a 5inches extrusion machine, because it generally uses 127*6000mm aluminum billets. If you want to use an 1100ton machine to extruder an aluminum billet with a diameter of 152mm, it is obviously impossible; if you use it to extrude an aluminum billet with a diameter of 85mm, the production will be very low and the cost will be high. Obviously, this is unreasonable. Therefore, before production, it is very important to choose the appropriate machine. The machine model is mainly determined based on the meter weight and section size of the profile, and then based on the grade of the aluminum billet, the length of the final profile, wall thickness and daily production.


  • Application requirements: First of all, you must clarify the specific uses and application fields of the aluminum extrusion profiles you need. Different applications may have different requirements for the mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, etc. of the material. Determining the application requirements will help select the appropriate aluminum alloy model.
  • Material properties: Aluminum alloys are available in a variety of different alloy models. Common aluminum alloy models include 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx and other series. Each series of aluminum alloys has different characteristics and properties, such as strength, workability, corrosion resistance, etc. Depending on the application needs, select the appropriate aluminum alloy model with the required properties.
  • Strength requirements: Select the appropriate aluminum alloy model based on the required strength level. Different aluminum alloy models have different strength characteristics. High-strength aluminum alloys are typically used in applications requiring higher load and compression capabilities, while lower-strength alloys are suitable for applications with lower requirements.
